  1. Well, 'technically' its not a sin because there is no scripture that explicitly states that 'Thou shalt not copy assignments'. However, its not the wisest thing to do, especially if its an assignment for which the lecturer states 'You must do this assignment individually'. Its important as christians that we dont do anything that brings us shame. What if the lecturer calls you and your friend and asks why your assignments are the same? You will not be representing God's kingdom appropriately.
Also, remember that as christians we are meant to be the light of the world. People should be coming to beg us to copy our assignments and not the other way around!

  2. I feel people that copy are lazy.
Yes I in fact have copied assignments that I edited then submitted while in School and I am not proud of it. Why? Because I did not do the assignment.

The aim of the assignment is for you to actually learn what it is you've been told to do. It's not only about getting the marks. The ammount of marks shows how much you've learned. So if you "dub" an assignment then you've not learnt anything and you are getting a mark you did not work for.

That is stealing in a sense.
God created us in his image- intelligent, radiant, beautiful, inquisitive, awesome, inventive. So why do we now want to be like the Devil who is a copycat?

Let's set the pace. No grey- black and white.
If you have an assignment or term paper, pray to God to help you and do it to the best of your ability- research, read books, that's what you are in school for, it's that time in your life for you to read so read!!! Learn!!! Make God proud of you. Cos in the end, it's between you and God, not the people you want to impress with good grades.
Besides God said it that His thoughts towards us are of Good, so trust Him and do the right thing.

    Hope I wasn't to sermonal.
Don't Copy. Be original. Be a child of God!!!
    Cheers!!!

  3. what of assignments that generally have the same answer, is it wrong to 'borrow' another individuals assignment when you know that the steps don't differ?
